Ayurvedic Face Massage
Ayurveda is a sanskrit word which means 'life knowledge'. It originated in India thousands of years ago and is an holistic system of medicine. Our emotions, diet and lifestyle play a part in the state of the body's health, by treating the body holistically, there is a healthy balance of mind, body and spirit which can bring about optimum well being.
Ayurvedic face massage is a gentle non invasive approach to looking younger. It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and the connective tissue.
Tension can build up within our facial muscles from pressures of everyday life, locking these tensions into our expressions on our faces. Over time, this can cause the muscles to 'dry up' and contract, losing tone and elasticity, which can encourage ageing and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
Ayurvedic face massage uses a gentle and simple massaging technique and energy rebalance that gives the facial muscles a lift. The massage stimulates the Marma points on the face and head which releases deep seated tensions and aids detoxification.
The recipient is advised to wear loose necked clothing as the practitioner will work on the face, hair line, and down to the neck area with gentle oils or serum. The treatment lasts for about 30 minutes.
